Teachers Mrs. Dena Gorkin Mrs. Dena Gorkin is a popular teacher in Beth Rivkah High School and Seminary for over 15 years. She gives parenting workshops in the Crown Heights community through NCFJE/Operation Survival, and lectures nationally on topics relating to families and childrearing. Dena's certification is in substance abuse prevention and she is a firm believer that by strengthening families our communities can avoid many of the pitfalls of modern society. Dena lives in Crown Heights with her husband and children. return to top Mrs. Sara Morozow Mrs. Morozow is a prominent Kallah teacher in the Crown Heights community. She is one of our most popular and sought after teachers. She teaches Chassidic insights and perspectives on dating, marriage and setting up a Jewish home. Mrs. Morozow has been teaching BYIT students since our inception. return to top Mrs. Esther Twerski Mrs. Twerski is a respected teacher both in Crown Heights and Manhattan. She is a brilliantly stimulating and dynamic lecturer who speaks on a vast array of topics. Her lectures are Kabbalah-based and use mysticism as a vehicle for a society bruised by contemporary secular ideals.
Well known internationally for her ability to bring lofty spiritual concepts into the beginner's realm of understanding, as well as that of the more advanced, her topics range from Kabbalah to issues dealing with communication and relationships. Freidy also speaks on spiritual healing and through the medium of meditation, empowers the Jewish audience to explore and deepen their relationship with G-d and thus enhance their lives and intimate relationships. Freidy gives and inspiring and eye-opening discussion on Kabbalah's mystical meaning of the mitzvah of covering one's hair bringing a joy and understanding of this oft maligned commandment. Her lectures stress traditional Jewish marriage and family ideals and she gives Taharas Hamishpacha workshops for a complete overview of the theory and practice of this significant part of Jewish family life.
A specialty of hers is guiding women to help their husbands adjust to the observances of Taharas Hamishpacha. Bringing first-hand experience into her dynamic lectures and sensitive, successful counseling, Mrs. Karmely is tri-lingual, speaking a fluent English, Persian and Italian, and has attracted packed houses all across the U.S. as well as overseas. The daughter of Iranian parents, Sara Karmely was born in India, raised in London and lived in Italy. She now resides with her family in New York. Highly educated and extremely talented in many areas, Mrs. Karmely achieved diplomas on Oxford level, studied art and had her works exhibited in a North London museum. Mrs. Karmely has been the director of Sha'arei Tova Talmud Torah for the last 15 years. She is co-editor of "Shalom" magazine, a bi-lingual outreach publication, and has written an inspirational book on relationships, Words To Hear With Your Heart. Sara has also created the inspriational and motivating Jewish Learning Series releasing two new CDs: Shalom Bayis and Taharas Hamishpacha. He has been teaching Chabad Chassidic philosop hy for 18 years. He is a graduate of Oholei Torah and completed his smicha studies at 770 Eastern Parkway. He currently teaches at Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Chovevei Torah, Machon Chana Women's Institute for the Study of Judaism, and at the Beis Midrash L'Nashim (Women's Beis Midrash) at 770 Eastern Parkway, Crown Heights, Brooklyn. She is the designer and facilitator of a series of workshops on personal transformation. She has been a therapist, spiritual and personal growth counselor, and mentor to hundreds of women for over 25 years. She currently has a practice with an office in Brooklyn, NY and counsels, coaches, and mentors world-wide via the telephone. A native of Israel, Mrs. Ginsburg lives and works in New York. She has spent many years in education, serving as principal at the elementary and high school levels, and in institutions of higher learning. Tzukernik Shimonah Tzukernik is a writer, artist and acclaimed lecturer. She has been a guest lecturer for U.J.A, Young Israel, Hadassah, synagogue sisterhoods and Chabad Houses both in the U.S. and abroad. She graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand with a degree in Fine Art, English and Linguistics. Shimonah has received international acclaim for her Inner Vision Seminar that combines art therapy with Kabbalistic insights to harness ones soul powers and transform daily life. She has also spearheaded the series Seven Habits of Jewish Effectiveness. Shimonah imbues her philosophical approach with personal experience in a style that is often emotional and provocative. Over 150,000 copies of his provocative yet entertaining tapes, both audio and video have been sold. Rabbi Friedman's first book, DOESN'T ANYONE BLUSH ANYMORE?, published by Harper San Francisco in 1990, was widely praised by the media. BLUSH is currently in its fourth printing. Crispe Sara Esther Crispe is the editor and creator of the women's site www.TheJewishWoman.org, a project of www.chabad.org where she is a featured writer. Additionally, she is a well-known lecturer and leading speaker of women's issues. Known for her clear and direct approach, she is able to take current and provocative issues and make them meaningful and personal to audiences of various backgrounds. Sara Esther recently moved back to the States after living in Jerusalem for eight years where she and her husband were the directors of Torat Chesed: The Institute for Advanced Learning for Jewish Women. She has her BA from the University of California, San Diego in Literature/Writing and studied for her Master's at Brooklyn College in Literary Theory where she was a lecturer of Composition. Sara Esther is currently working on a book celebrating gender difference according to Kabbalah. She lives with her husband and four beautiful children in Merion, PA. return to top |
